Well, colour me excited! After 2011 saw new material from the likes of Dropkick Murphys, The King Blues and Frank Turner, along with new ventures from Dave Hause amongst others, Fat Mike has revealed that NOFX are working on a new record.
In an interview with the Phoenix New Times, the punk icon revealed that work had begun on the follow-up to 2009’s Coaster.
Although that record was the band’s last full-length, they did release The Longest EP last year, which saw a large amount of rarer material collated for a fresh release.
Fat Mike also opened up on what he thinks is behind the longevity of the band. He said: “I think our records have been pretty solid, but I think mostly it’s just because we have a really good time, and like I said before, being alcoholics keeps it fun.”
It’s certainly been a fun ride so far, and any chance of new tracks from NOFX is something to look forward to.
